Together with our members we share a vision of creating healthy, vibrant communities. Part of this vision is ensuring everyone has access to safe and affordable housing in Manitoba, which is why we are proud to donate $10,000 to Zoongizi Ode’s Butterfly Lodge, creating three units of culturally safe and affordable housing for Indigenous families or youth.

Supporting affordable housing initiatives.

Zoongizi Ode’s Butterfly Lodge, located in Winnipeg’s North End, has two three-bedroom units for Indigenous families who were at risk of separation without stable housing. Through Butterfly Lodge, families can reconnect and heal together, and children get to grow up in a culturally safe, stable environment. Our $10,000 donation helps tenants make their space a home for as long as they need.

ACU is proud to support community organizations like Zoongizi Ode that provide affordable housing to Indigenous families who are reunifying, and for Indigenous youth who have aged out of care. These initiatives uplift healthy communities now and help them stay healthy for years to come.
